Developing Course Goals and Content
Creating a Syllabus
Do you know that nearly 6 million people are using online learning? These courses live in places like Udemy, Coursera, and LinkedIn.
They are cost-effective, flexible, and convenient.
I teamed up with two SMEs in developing courses for Udemy. My role was syllabi development and post-production.
The syllabi I developed include: CorelDRAW Fundamentals, CorelDRAW Photo Art, Typography, and CorelDRAW Super Hero.
Pipeline for Developing a Syllabus
A syllabus is a document about the course content, goals, elements, and guidance, to the kind of teaching and learning people can expect from your course.
Here is a truncated workflow on how to develop it in such a way that invites learners to take responsibility for the content taught.
Topic:
Identify and research what people
want to learn in your area of expertise.
SMEs:
Determine the scope and sequence of the topic
with your Subject Matter Expert.
Development:
Design the syllabus using the 8 step process
I have outlined in the resource.
